Nayanthara, who is on a signing spree while in comeback mode, was the cynosure of all eyes at the mahurat of her upcoming film that took place in the city at AVM Pillayar Temple recently. Sharing screen space with her is Tollywood star Gopichand for whom it’s the first straight Tamil film as a hero. Directed by T’town’s popular filmmaker B. Gopal, the big-budget bilingual is being produced by Thandra Ramesh of Jaya Balajee Real Media.
The reticent, ravishing beauty, attired in a simple salwar kameez, walked in for the puja, posed for a while for the shutterbugs and left the place in a few minutes. K.S. Ravikumar and Dharani were among the others present. Sources say that this is the first time that Nayan is teaming up with Gopichand. According to the press note, the shooting of the film will start in Switzerland on September 1.
Meanwhile, the 'Billa' girl’s kitty is full with half a dozen films, including 'Arrambam' with Ajith, 'Raja Rani' with Arya, 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' with Udhayanidhi, and a bilingual, 'Anamika', the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster, 'Kahaani'.
